  1. Add the option to use pictures for answer choices in Forms

When considering a Universal Design to Learning approach, the ability to use visuals (pictures) for an answer choice in a form would assist our visual learners and allow for alternate access and assessment. For some students, reading is incredibly difficult without an accompanying visual.

  2. Microsoft Family: Allow screen time to be assigned to groups of apps (example: 1hr total for all game apps)

With kids needing to be online for school everyday, parents need a way to restrict how much screen time they have for apps which are not school. I would like to be able to group my child's apps into categories and then assign a total time to each category.

For example: I would like to limit my child's gaming screen-time regardless of which game they are playing.
The current controls only let me set the time for each game which allows them to play each game to the limit for a total of many many hours past the desired screen…

  3. memory problems v passwords

There must be a way to help those like me who have brain haemorrhages/injury! every time I mess up trying to access services online I am required to use passwords/reset passwords etc. I cant remember which password is which for what and when.
I also cant remember what to do if I look for solutions to problems. eg. If you mess up and youre told to go to setting then something else then something else, click on this and that and then reboot/try again etc. Whoa! Once Ive read all those instructions I cant get past going to Settings. After…

  6. Text to Speech Hot Key - Read Highlighted Text Only

    Hi there,

I'd like to follow up about my inquiry to include a feature on Narrator to read highlighted text only by pressing a hot key. This feature does not currently exist, but instead, Narrator reads off all sorts of content which is distracting. I simply need to be able to highlight text, press a hot key, and have that text read without the distracting announcements that Narrator produces each time you switch windows, select content, etc. I work on secure computers that don't allow plug-ins or the adding of additional software to enable this capability, and would greatly appreciate…

  7. Stop using click here, or here for hyperlinks

I'm probably posting this in the wrong location but this was the closest forum I could find.
I want to make an appeal to Microsoft's Accessibillity champions to run some internal training for the folk that prepare Microsoft's web page content and promotional emails. Please teach them how to write effective link text rather than using 'click here' .

Contextual text links have been a Web Content Accessibilty Guidelines (WCAG) requirement for a very long time now. And giving users an instruction to click something is not inclusive; mobile users tap, keyboard users press enter, etc
    I'm trying to get…

  8. Disability is normal part of human diversity

First, kudos to you on making technologies accessible to all. Learning Tools are awsome. Please keep working on making all tecnologies fully accessible to people with different types of disabilities. You are doing a great job, but you can always do better 😊.

Here are some suggestions related to your post Microsoft + Made by Dyslexia: Helping students with dyslexia with technology. In this post  there is a confusing reference to the definition of dyslexia. "These students whose language based learning difference causes a deficiency with phonological processing when learning to read, are often mistakenly labeled as having a learning…

  9. Include sound icons when there are vital system messages

Is it possible to include a 'sound icon' when there is an important system message? I am visually impaired and the other day a M/S security download failed. I did not see the icon except a family member who was with me did 😀. I am a participant in the Microsoft Community platform and one of your colleagues suggested I provide this feedback.

I am concerned that I could miss a vital message requiring action be me. Is it possible that this suggestion could be considered for a future release? Many thanks.

    I use Narrator a lot - great help…

  10. Soundscape and use with blue tooth hearing aids.

    1. In Uk 25% of visually impaired also have hearing defects. Many contemporary digital hearing aids have the capacity toluse blue tooth which means users who are hearing as well as sight impaired can use their aids at the same time as Sounscape

Its a great Ap. Considerably extends my ability to get round and identify where I am as well as helps resolve situations in which you are not sure where you are. Some UK National Health Hearing Aid Services will supply a digital blue tooth enabled hearing aid to those who can demonstrate a need for it.

  11. Please require alt text when inserting an image into an office document

Go into Microsoft Word, clock on the insert menu. Click on image and select an image. Once you press OK, the image is inserted into a document with no prompting for alt text. Most of the world has no idea what alt text is.

Please add either another required field to the insert dialogue that says "please describe the image" or "please describe the image to a blind person" that will be alt text, or have a second dialogue pop up after the insert image dialogue that requires alt text before the image can be inserted.
    These fields can have…

  13. Accessibility webinars need a way to add to calendar

For webinars on aka.ms/JoinAccessibilityWebinar, it would be helpful to have a way to add events to a calendar, downloading an ICS file.

  16. Make signature lines in Office accessible to a screen reader

In Word 2016, go to the insert menu and click on signature line. If one tabs through the boxes here, they are not labeled. Next, after filling out the unlabeled boxes, press OK. Now a graphic called "Microsoft Office signature line..." is inserted into the document. First, the signature graphic should say "Unsigned Microsoft Office signature line..." so the user knows the line is unsigned. Second, there is no way for the screen reader user to click the signature to sign the line.

  19. Azure accessibility

We are having considerable difficulty getting screen readers to work with Azure Bot Service. The biggest problem we have is focus loss. We've been troubleshooting the problem for months, but haven't had any success. We really need an accessibility specialist who understands assistive technology and WCAG to help the Azure team troubleshoot. Can you help us out?

  20. calendar just needs to be more intuitive in general allow recurring reminders and make the adding and dismissing process make more since and

office on my ic with jaws 2020 is slow and when i go to work with the calendar or other things its intuitiveness is unclear to you it may be considered accessible but to me its not I have no clear way to add a recurring reminder. I can add events and appointments but deleting mistakes is a difficult thing. I wish once i saw the calendar it gave jaws related or nvda related tips. I wish the keyboard related help right out. finding the related help i need seems difficult. I am going to work on the calendar and…
