  1. Giving microsoft photos the option to have the windows movie maker layout for blind users.

It would be nice to have the photos app to work or have the option to work just like the old windows movie maker since it was so blind friendly. We could make videos without asking for sighted help back then. Now we have to ask someone to make our videos YouTube ready which doesn't always work out for us.

  3. Narrator on 64-bit systems should be able to use 32-bit TTS voices

Currently, on 64-bit Windows, Narrator can use only TTS voices that have 64-bit support. Most (if not all) newer voices do have 64-bit support. But there are older TTS voices, that have only 32-bit support. They can be installed on 64-bit Windows and used by programs that support them. But Narrator on 64-bit Windows does not support them and can't use them. The ideal solution would be to ask the developers of the TTS voices in question to add 64-bit support to them. But most of those TTS voices are abandoned (no longer developed) and the chance to get an…

  4. Put the font size & font color control back into Outlook!

Not everyone has 20-20 vision. Some people need to make the letters bigger in email. Light grey color on white back ground is a nightmare! Also, if you want to make a big improvement.... give us the option to change this awful WHITE back ground into a softer color, so it isn't so ******* the eyes. This is just awful.

  5. Add the Check Accessibility feature to the free Office Online apps

Check Accessibility is a great feature. It should be available to users of the free Office Online apps.

  6. I'm too stupid to get my suspension reviewed because i can't pass terms of use test this is blatant discrimination

If someone is learning disabled or too ignorant to pass the terms of use test required to have xbox enforcement team there should be other options to get help allowing only people who are intelligent enough to pass a test to recieve this type of customer support is blatant discrimination

  7. memory problems v passwords

There must be a way to help those like me who have brain haemorrhages/injury! every time I mess up trying to access services online I am required to use passwords/reset passwords etc. I cant remember which password is which for what and when.
I also cant remember what to do if I look for solutions to problems. eg. If you mess up and youre told to go to setting then something else then something else, click on this and that and then reboot/try again etc. Whoa! Once Ive read all those instructions I cant get past going to Settings. After…

  9. Edge/Narrator reads hidden inputs and buttons

Edge: Version 80.0.361.66 (Official build) (64-bit)
OS version and Build: 1803, 17134.1304

Narrator reads hidden buttons in Microsoft Edge

The following link is a test page on Codepen.io
    https://cdpn.io/JasonAment/debug/OJVEZNp

Example (in the carousel) from the Microsoft News Site:
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/coronavirus

    Repro steps:
    1. Enable Narrator
    2. Open either link in Edge (tested in chromium)
    3. Read the page items using CAPS + Right Arrow

Expected: Buttons and inputs with aria-hidden="true" are not read or encountered with the screen reader.

Actual: The buttons and inputs with aria-hidden="true" are not hidden from assistive technology.

Note: This doesn't occur in Chrome, Firefox or IE11.

  10. Narrator suggestions

When installing windows from a flash dive it would be nice to have narrator speak during the windows setup process. This would benefit the blind and visually impaired. Also it would be nice to be able to use narrator while in the bios.

  13. A Utility For Identifying Words With Multiple Spellings That Sound the Same

As a blind writer and editor, my biggest challenge is homonyms and homophones. Current tools allow me to proof for all other aspects of copy, but not this one. Grammar check catches selected ones like it’s verses its, which is helpful. What would be ideal, is a utility that flags every word in a document that is a homonym or homophone, pops up a window with very brief definitions, and lets you verify which spelling you want. It would also be helpful if you could enter exceptions, words you’re confident you already know, in order to streamline the process. Of…

  14. Text selection commands don't work in Scan Mode

I have posted this to the Windows Insider Feedback Hub, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to post this here as well. When reading text in Scan Mode, it is impossible to use standard Windows text selection commands to select text. This would be very useful in all sorts of places. For example, I could select and copy the text from an error message or text from a website.

  15. Make shapes accessible to keyboard users in Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc

Currently, in Office programs, when shapes are added to a document:

Word: alt+n, sh, then choose a shape.
    Excel: alt+n, zi,sh, then choose a shape.

The shapes themselves are identified, which is great, but as soon as you choose one, you need to use the mouse to insert it.

Many screen readers provide a way of partly manipulating the mouse (eg press numpad slash to left click with NVDA), it is impossible to accurately position the item and resize it. Please include the ability to use the keyboard to accomplish this.

  16. Make the command lines work better with screen readers, including the new Bash client for developers

The current command line works pretty good, but there are two major problems that showed up particularly in windows 10:
    1. You need to use the review cursor to read the command line. This is OK, but not novice friendly and has always been the case.
    2. When one has "speak typed characters on" or "speak typed words on" I will hear new output spelled to me rather than read normally. This is beyond aggravating!
Next, the new Bash client acts like the command line, but when using things like SSH, Nano or Vim, it acts a little strangely.
    For…

  17. real time captioning for Skype for Business

Desired outcome: During a Skype for Business call, when I am sharing my screen and a presentation/desktop demo my audience can see the words I am speaking coming up in front of them on their screens (or in the IM window) so they are able to read the English and follow (imagine deaf audience for eg)

  18. SP.UI.ModalDialog.showModalDialog and Accessibility issues

    SP.UI.ModalDialog.showModalDialog and Accessibility issues

I got an opportunity to work on a SharePoint project recently. As part of this project, we had to fix accessibility issues on a SharePoint site. Here is the list of issues I found which can be made accessible out of the box. Let me know in case of any questions.

    1. Modal content gets rendered in an iframe but without title. iframe should have a title as per Accessibility Guidelines. If you don't, screen reader starts reading the source URL. I suggest you to provide the page name as title at least .

    2. It is possible…

  19. Add Microsoft Online Voice (Natural) to Seeing AI / Word & Outlook just like on MS Edge

Can you make available high-quality voice such as Microsoft {name} Online Natural? As a French language user, the other voice sound so robotics and the Online Voice are fantastic. It would be awesome to be able to use it to read paper book with it. Please vote for it! :)

  20. Text to Speech Hot Key - Read Highlighted Text Only

    Hi there,

I'd like to follow up about my inquiry to include a feature on Narrator to read highlighted text only by pressing a hot key. This feature does not currently exist, but instead, Narrator reads off all sorts of content which is distracting. I simply need to be able to highlight text, press a hot key, and have that text read without the distracting announcements that Narrator produces each time you switch windows, select content, etc. I work on secure computers that don't allow plug-ins or the adding of additional software to enable this capability, and would greatly appreciate…
