In Powerpoint, go to File, Export, create handouts. You can create handouts with or without speaker notes, but those handouts are images. Now this is a great feature -- but there should be an option to create text-based handouts. I discovered this when trying to braille a presentation and include the speaker notes. I can save it as RTF, but then I get no notes. I can view the slide show with screen readers and read both the slide content and the notes. But what about someone who wants an accessible handout -- one that can be easily printed in Braille or large print, or converted to MP3 for someone who prefers audio? What about someone who wants to look at handouts on a phone that can't open PowerPoint and uses speech to read?
