Microsoft is going to be continuing as a free application in the Microsoft store. There is also a very similar application called Paint 3D that will continue to be developed and that comes preinstalled on the latest version of Windows 10. It has the classic options of Microsoft Paint as well as new tools and the ability to create 3D items.
