ADVISE WHEN Seeing AI app will be available on Android phones. Help near blind folks know if they must buy a new Apple iPhone? Or wait?
Aged near blind must have access to this terrific app. Must they buy an iPhone and scrap their Android device only to find out next day that Seeing AI is now available for Android devices. PLEASE - just let us know WHEN so that we can make intelligent decisions. Surely Microsoft can do better than "We're working on it". Thanks MUCH.

I recently found out about Seeing Ai and am very interested in getting it for my 99 year old mother. She doesn't use nor need a cell phone, but I have been advised and researched that the Seeing Ai app will work on Apple iPod Touch 7th generation and later (some earlier versions may work but later versions with more recent iOS 11 and later operating systems supposedly work better). The Apple iPod Touch is not a phone, so not as expensive and retails new for about $200. At 99 years old we can't wait around for when/if it might come to Android and for $200 and the app is free, I think it is worth getting and using exclusively for this purpose. Hopefully she won't add tomato soup instead of chicken broth to her next recipe! It'll all be worth it just for that!

Microsoft’s admin points users to the accessibility blog, know where is seeing ai and android mentioned. Admin, why is android being ignored? Is the team still under the impression android is not accessible/useable compared to an iPhone? Note: your blog does not address seeing ai’s glaring omission of android. In a nut shell, apple has grown stagnate, overpriced hardware, pixel3 and other android OEMs cost less to buy with features not found in an iPhone. Last, its getting to cost for some blind user to afford apple’s over priced phone’s so they turn to android knowing their going to miss out on seeing AI. So, what is Microsoft doing other than listening to a select users who have barely ever touch an android device?
