Give control of email message page colour without changing recipient view
As a user I want full control of email message body page colour Without changing recipient view which may cause issues with recipients devices, compatibility, plus they may have a disability themselves so what works for me may hurt their eyes
I suffer visual problems, photosensitivity and struggle with white glare on the page when composiing messages in outlook email.
I changed this message body page background using "page" colour setting to be dark blue with pale text. I didnt realise this page colour changed recipients view too.
Neither my husband on outlook office (same account as me) nor a company using a mac could see the text which showed as not present or the same colour as teh background (which was true). This also happened wtih dark blue, but not (with my husband) using charcoal and white)
As a result of this i cant use that feature in case a mail I send gets ignored as I dont know what will be shown the other end.
Really I want the same degree of colour controls as the "page" feature but only on my screen not setting the email style that actually gets sent.
Thanks for sharing this feedback with us Kari. If you enable dark theme in Office you can make the page background black while editing or viewing. However, it doesn't change the look of the e-mail from the default black text and white background for recipients. Here's a link for more information on how to setup Dark Mode in Outlook (https://support.office.com/article/Dark-Mode-in-Outlook-3e2446e0-9a7b-4189-9af9-57fb94d02ae3).
