Fix Toggle Keys so that the setting actually turns off
I turned on Toggle Keys once, about four years ago, to see if I liked it. I do not, but the setting persists. I have turned it off in both the newer system settings and the old control panel. I have tried registry edits. I have done everything to stop Toggle Keys from playing a tone, but every single time I turn on my computer or wake it from sleep, that setting is back on.
Thanks for the feedback James, we have a few questions for you. First, in Ease of Access (Press Windows Logo Key + U) under Keyboard then "Use Toggle Keys" do you have the checkbox "Allow the shortcut key to start Toggle Keys" checked? If you hold the Num Lock key for more than five seconds that will start the Toggle Keys. Also do you have any of the checkmarks selected under "Make it easier to type"? If you use Sticky, Toggle, or Filter keys it will make a sound when any of those keys get turned on.
