Zoom tool scalability
As a low vision individual, I've used the magnifier since the days of XP where I had to open the command box and type "magnify". I do like the newer "Windows-+" hotkey, but I wanted to suggest a way I use in other Operating systems. I use the Gnome desktop in Linux almost exclusively because the zoom feature allows me to designate a hotkey and use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out. It allows for quicker access and makes it easier to vary the zoom level. Hotkey+wheel up zooms in level by level and hotkey-wheel down scrools back out. It is so intuitive that I don't think about it anymore and actually find windows cumbersome when I have to go back to the static hotkey option.
Also, I'm going to bring an old desktop of mine back to life this weekend (its been dead for a few years). It had windows 7 previously, but I was wondering if I could make use of the free accessability upgrade to 10 that I'd seen in the past. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this with us, we are going to share an article with you on using Magnifier with the scroll wheel (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/11542/windows-use-magnifier-to-make-things-easier-to-see). Regarding the Windows 10 upgrade, that ended on December 31st 2017. However, if you need assistance upgrading to Windows 10 feel free to reach our Disability Answer Desk at aka.ms/DAD.
