zoomtext and teams
I use Zoomtext with full screen magnification and this works well for pretty much most things however am having issues with Teams. I don't use a screen reader as i'm also deaf, so am relying solely on magnification. In Teams the toolips and popups that are continuously appearing on mouseover obscure what you're trying to read. In a video meeting, the captioning disappears before you can finish reading it - as you have to move the screen around to read it with the level of magnification I use. Is there a way to have toe captioning appear in its own window with the ability to scroll down as you read rather than refreshing it with new text? I also don't get much time to look at the actual video when trying to read this textthough so don't need toe video streaming but don't see a way to get the captioning without it. Is Audio to Text also being added, similar to captioning so I can 'listen in' on audio meetings too? These improvemetns would al lbe great to have in future releases of Teams

Versions: Teams 1.3 and Zoomtext 11.8
Perhaps tooltips wasn't the correct word to use - although that too seems to be a problem elsewhere. I think tooltips are integrated into Windows and there is no option to turn them off, you get it just holding the mouse over the minimise button in top right for example, in any app. And in SSRS it's super annoying - its more like ALT text but it's unnecessary as all the report names are text anyway, so when trying to read one and the ALT text pops up it obscures what I was reading because of Zoomtext. No way to turn it off. Back to Teams. I use full screen magnification and have to move the mouse around to read the chat. However mousing in certain areas triggers the emoji bar or whatever it is and also sometimes what looks like a business card / user details (which you don't need during a chat) - I need these pop ups to disappear so that I can continue to read the message, but can again trigger them and no setting to stop that anywhere. Also cant seem to change the font - can make it smaller/larger in a particular chat but no way to pick the font you prefer/find easier t oread and have it apply to all chats.
Because i'm deaf I don't make calls, but the captioning feature is only available with Video rather than audio calls. Previous issue was the whole thing hanging when using video calls but now have extra RAM and it's more stable. However I stil lcan't read the captioning because it refreshes too quickly. I'm using magnification that means you can only see about 3 or 4 words at a time on the screen, have to move the mouse to read the rest of it then back to start of the line to read the one below and it'll refresh as the person speaks, so I never finish reading it. There's also no way for me to look at the actual video and try to read the caption at the same time. I think a better solution would be if I have the video unzoomed and left o nthe screen then I can just about make out people, but need some way of reading the captions - perhaps o na tablet?? BUT you cant get captions without video, so if there is a way to 'mute' the video and still get captions I could perhaps read those on a tablet - but i'd still be using some form of magnification. Could the caption be in its own window/box that just adds to the bottom rather than refreshing, with the option to scroll down as you finish reading the conversation? On my iPad I simply use the built in 'zoom' feature, drag it around to read the screen. -
Also could you share with us steps on how you're experiencing these issues with tooltips and captions in video meetings? Additionally could you share your Teams and ZoomText version you're on as well?
