Fix bug in LinkedIn that strips out alternative text for images when I post a link in my feed
When I post a link to my blog post on my LinkedIn feed, LinkedIn strips out the alternative text for the featured image.
And replaces it with image alternative text of "No alt text provided for this image."
The featured image has appropriate link text. I don't understand why LinkedIn would remove it.
What is the latest status update on this bug? Is it under review? Planned for a fix?

Thanks for checking in Deborah. We're going to reach out to LinkedIn and see what their status is.
What is the process for a status change on this bug fix?
In other words, how does this request get changed to "Under Review"?
Thanks for sharing your feedback with us Deborah. We're going to file this with the LinkedIn support team. Please continue to leave your feedback and upvote posts that you agree with.

I began this as a support ticket on May 22, 2020. After numerous exchanges the support team at LinkedIn still does NOT understand this code. The subject line should have been clear. It is still not understood.
Ember should pull alt-text from the source where you're already pulling featured image [Case: 200522-007335]
I provided examples, including from GAAD. I spent several hours providing examples, extracting their Ember text, and providing related code img src=xxx and alt-text= xxx from the same line of code in the source content.
This is their "expert takeaway" after three weeks: Today, we do not have any capability in the UI to allow a member to adjust the alt text for a third party share (e.g the thumbnail of an article or video from another site).

linked in should be following ATAG 2 to help authors produce accessible content.

Same thing happens to me - see https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6674221977823272960/ as an example.
Oops, my typo. "The featured image has appropriate link text" should be "The featured image has appropriate alt text."

Don't strip out alt text, y'all. Definite bug here.

It should be required (prompt to add or mark as decorative) to add. Don't remove the author's ability to make their content accessible.
