  1. Accessibility settings within Teams - Scrollbar

A colleague has come to me with this issue... MS, please help her:

Teams has an auto-hide functionality. I'm trying to turn that off. I want the scrollbar to be visible at all times, even when the app is still visible but I'm in a different app. Compare Outlook, which always shows the scrollbar even when I'm in Teams or any other application has focus.

In addition, the scrollbar needs to be wider. In both cases, this is an accessibility issue, especially since Teams does not respect the OS setting to keep scrollbars visible.

Finally, the third issue is both…

  2. Please include a keyboard shortcut for 'Hang Up' in Microsoft Teams

Please provide a keyboard shortcut for 'Hang Up' in Teams. There is a shortcut to answer a call; please provide a hotkey to end one.

  3. I'm too stupid to get my suspension reviewed because i can't pass terms of use test this is blatant discrimination

If someone is learning disabled or too ignorant to pass the terms of use test required to have xbox enforcement team there should be other options to get help allowing only people who are intelligent enough to pass a test to recieve this type of customer support is blatant discrimination

  4. Markdown systemwide for rich text writing and reading

[Markdown](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markdown), is a plain text method of entering and reading text. It's mainly used on the web, but I'd love for it to be all over Windows, so that people, blind or otherwise, can focus on writing and reading, have complete control of formatting, and finally have at least one way for braille users to know what text styles are used, and to easily use them too. It can even be used by sighted people who are now used to using basic Markdown symbols.

Windows has begun adding features so that users can focus on tasks more. Focus…

  5. Too stupid for xbox enforcement teams terms of use test

I can't get my unjust ban reviewed because I'm too stupid for xboxs terms of use test you have to pass to get help from the enforcement team and after failing several times it locks you out of the test for 24 hours so I get punished for being stupid and have to wait longer to get and unjust ban reviewed because I'm not smart enough for Microsoft to help me i dread taking the test tomorrow because I know it will make me feel stupid and lock me out again for 24 hours does Microsoft not care about learning…

  6. Light Gray Windows Fonts to Bold Black for Visually Impaired

The light gray colors used by Windows GUI is nearly impossible for me to see. Exists in Windows, Word, etc. Anyway to change to a bold black font? Size of font is not the issue, it is the color.

Third party apps? Chrome offers a add on for Contrast, but the issue is the Windows interface.

  7. Bugs With Windows Eye Control

They are some keys on the Windows Eye Control that don't generate the correct scancodes, which don't work with certain applications that expect correct scancodes. For example, pressing F11 on most browsers will bring the browsers fullscreen. F11 key (along with many other keys) are broken. They send the correct virtualkeys but not scancodes.

  8. screen reader picking up chat box messages during Teams meetings

    Hi there,

In a recent video meeting via Teams- a participant's screen reader (NVDA) was not able to pick up/notified when there were new messages written by other participants in the chat box. Their screen reader did pick up when someone had a raised hand, but not when there was a new message. Can you provide any advice on this?
    Thanks

  9. Stop turning hashtags in Yammer to lower case

This is not "Ease of Access" but you don't have Yammer in your list and the field is mandatory. Maybe you should have "Other" in your drop-down list. However, that is not what I want to post about...

Whenever I put a hashtag into Yammer I use camel case as this is best practice (it helps screen readers read the words as individual words instead of gobeldegook. Yammer forces all hashtags to lower case! Why would you do that? #StopChangingCamelCase

  10. Magnifying Glass Icon

When using the magnifier I prefer the magnifying glass icon over the box that Windows 10 currently has available, is there a way to remove just the update that installed the newest options for the magnifier? Is it possible to have the magnifying glass option re-added in future updates?

  11. Different Application Colors in Office 365

I wish I could upload an image. My suggestion is to change the colors for the application icons in the online Office 365 view. Sway and SharePoint, for example, are the same color with an S. Only the shape distinguishes the two. I have clicked on Sway when I wanted SharePoint on more than one occasion. Forms is also the same color and since the Forms/Sway icons are similar shape, that too is deceiving at times. One Drive and Outlook are next to one another and both blue but at least the icons are different enough (cloud and no letter…

  12. Automatically enable audio for Hyper-V virtual machines when using screen readers.

Although I have very limited experience using Hyper-V, my understanding is that audio is not available when connecting to a virtual machine using Hyper-V Manager. I have read about an Enhanced Session Mode, but this must be manually enabled on Windows Server and it does not appear to pass audio back to the host machine unless RDP is enabled in the Windows virtual machine.

Can you see the problem here? How is a totally blind person supposed to independently configure a virtual machine if audio cannot be used until a setting in the virtual machine itself is enabled? If a…

  13. Introduce an Ease of Access option that forces ANY Windows application to have conventional scroll bars with left / right & up / down arrows

A growing number of software developers such as Postbox Inc and Mailbird are copying Apple's ultra thin scroll bars with no left / right & up / down arrows when creating applications for Windows.

This recent trend has introduced the issue of scroll bar inaccessibility to Windows users, making life increasingly difficult for people like myself who has arm control difficulties. Should this trend continue, many disabled people will face an increasingly limited choice of software due to companies who place "innovative looks" over accessibility.

Please Microsoft, introduce an Ease of Access option that forces ANY Windows application to have…

  14. Introducing a new setting for battery usage

Nowadays many of the users of windows use laptops which is powered by battery. But I did not find any SETTINGS to see how I used the battery, consumed battery percentage of applications or screen on time. But for effective usage, I think these statistics is needed.
    Hope to see this things.

  16. typing echo

Can you add typing feedback to Windows? I imagine this would work similar to the Typing Feedback feature on the iPhone. When enabled it would speak each character as the key is pressed aloud.

This is useful for low vision users who cannot see the keyboard but want audible confirmation they have pressed the right key.

  17. Tweak the Windows 10 Mail App to make it a little easier to use with a screen reader.

When pressing Control+y to open the list of folders, it should be possible to collapse the view containing the current account folders and expand another account like in Outlook. For example, I press Control+y to open the list of all folders. At the top of the list I'd have items for account 1 and account 2. Collapsing the view for account 1 would hide the Mail folders and allow me to down arrow to account 2 to quickly look at its messages. This is already possible in the Outlook desktop client, so it should be simple to port this feature…

  18. Reduce ambient noise in the Disability Support Call Center

The Disability Support Call Center has a very high level of ambient. The causes are probably the usual: too much hard surface in the environment, too low or non-existent partitions, staff are not trained to speak normally, no established noise level expectations are set, no monitoring of noise and speech levels, no continuous improvement plan, and no coaching to meet expectations.

I have multiple disabilities, hearing is one of them. I wait as long as possible to call because I always have great difficulty understanding the support representative. The major problem can be fixed with no investment.

    The problem is…

  20. Create a version of windows 10 with windows xp type gui

Some people preferred the older features and interface of windows xp that allowed for more customization, and control of windows. It would be nice if windows 10 had some kind of legacy mode, in which it would look more like the old windows and less like a fisher price product. Something as simple as an option that would disable useless stuff like cortana and give easier access to features like commands, event scheduling and more customization of the local OS. Another big thing would be having an option to disable all of the annoying online features like linking and one…
