  1. Microsoft Family: Allow screen time to be assigned to groups of apps (example: 1hr total for all game apps)

With kids needing to be online for school everyday, parents need a way to restrict how much screen time they have for apps which are not school. I would like to be able to group my child's apps into categories and then assign a total time to each category.

For example: I would like to limit my child's gaming screen-time regardless of which game they are playing.
The current controls only let me set the time for each game which allows them to play each game to the limit for a total of many many hours past the desired screen…

  2. memory problems v passwords

There must be a way to help those like me who have brain haemorrhages/injury! every time I mess up trying to access services online I am required to use passwords/reset passwords etc. I cant remember which password is which for what and when.
I also cant remember what to do if I look for solutions to problems. eg. If you mess up and youre told to go to setting then something else then something else, click on this and that and then reboot/try again etc. Whoa! Once Ive read all those instructions I cant get past going to Settings. After…

  4. Text to Speech Hot Key - Read Highlighted Text Only

    Hi there,

I'd like to follow up about my inquiry to include a feature on Narrator to read highlighted text only by pressing a hot key. This feature does not currently exist, but instead, Narrator reads off all sorts of content which is distracting. I simply need to be able to highlight text, press a hot key, and have that text read without the distracting announcements that Narrator produces each time you switch windows, select content, etc. I work on secure computers that don't allow plug-ins or the adding of additional software to enable this capability, and would greatly appreciate…

  5. Azure accessibility

We are having considerable difficulty getting screen readers to work with Azure Bot Service. The biggest problem we have is focus loss. We've been troubleshooting the problem for months, but haven't had any success. We really need an accessibility specialist who understands assistive technology and WCAG to help the Azure team troubleshoot. Can you help us out?

  7. 10 second rewind button...

Not really an issue but a suggestion...I teach multiple students with Multiple Educational needs...many of my classes are recorded and I record tutorial, How to videos for my students. Is there a way to install a 10 second rewind within Stream? Many of my students would love to be able to rewind and watch demonstrations over and over as opposed to "guessing" with the bar at the bottom.

  10. Add the option to use pictures for answer choices in Forms

When considering a Universal Design to Learning approach, the ability to use visuals (pictures) for an answer choice in a form would assist our visual learners and allow for alternate access and assessment. For some students, reading is incredibly difficult without an accompanying visual.

  11. Alternative text of women

As alternative text is supposed to describe what is in the picture and the generated text does not do so, the text reader algorithm should be fixed.

I was creating cards with Power Point to friends of my wedding fotos. All alternative texts were only about one person - of my husband! I was either not described at all or described as "waterfall" due my long hem of the white gown.
Why the alt text algorithm does not recognize faces (of women)? Why it does not understand when a person is standing sideways? And so on...

    Please Microsoft: consider improving…

  12. Blind user not able to Join meeting on Microsoft Teams

My son is blind and is using Microsoft Teams for school now. He has figured out how to navigate around the Microsoft Teams app on his windows laptop using NVDA and the keyboard, but is unable to actually select the 'Join' button whenever there is a meeting. I've contacted support who just referred me to generic articles like https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/use-a-screen-reader-to-join-a-meeting-in-microsoft-teams-7f176bc8-68a8-4984-b9b3-ae907a8eaa69#PickTab=Windows, but we've tried everything suggested and nothing worked. My son is very used to finding how to access things using NVDA so it just seems like it's not possible now. Please do let me know if there are some secret…

  13. Include accessibility features for all Office versions

It is disappointing to discover that many if not most basic accessibility features are only available in Office 365. I hope that as future stand alone releases are developed that these features are not eliminated or reduced as a way of driving business to Office 365. I only have need of basic Office software and prefer not to use the online version or be locked into a subscription. Regrettably, I am forced to subscribe to Office 365 in order to access features like dictation, which is fundamental for how I need to work.

  14. Please include Verdana as one of the fonts in the immersive reader

Please include Verdana as one of the fonts in the immersive reader. I have a number of students I work with that have visual impairments. When given a Font Evaluation, inevitably they choose Verdana as their font of choice. This would be incredibly helpful to many persons who have a visual impairment.

  15. Child friendly Operating system

I would like to post an idea that can we have child friendly Operating system. So far, we have OS supporting all laptop. A child doesn't uses all the features/tools which are by default provided by the OS. If an OS provides the basic feature like Microsoft Office and a chat tool. If the current OS have the capability to disable the features which are not being used for the age group 4-12 years then it can also be a possibility.

I hope Microsoft would make it possible for blind people to sign the electronic signature on their own.

  17. MS TEAMS desktop app crashes when navigating through channels with NVDA

Since May 2020, MS TEAMS crashes when trying to select a particular channel within a team using NVDA screen reader.
For example, if a team contains 3, 4 or more channels, pressing up and/or down arrow in a channel list several times makes Teams application crash and close unexpectedly. It may restart itself (not always) with a following error message:

There was a glitch, and we had to restart the app. It's good to go now.

This problem appears in desktop app only at least on Windows10.

  18. calendar just needs to be more intuitive in general allow recurring reminders and make the adding and dismissing process make more since and

office on my ic with jaws 2020 is slow and when i go to work with the calendar or other things its intuitiveness is unclear to you it may be considered accessible but to me its not I have no clear way to add a recurring reminder. I can add events and appointments but deleting mistakes is a difficult thing. I wish once i saw the calendar it gave jaws related or nvda related tips. I wish the keyboard related help right out. finding the related help i need seems difficult. I am going to work on the calendar and…

  19. chrome

It might be worth while enabling the download of chrome in windows s. I don't really care if windows is built with the same open source technology as chrome. The simple fact is I like google chrome, my phone is android, my email accounts are all google. It just makes sense to log into one internet server and have access to all my important documents and photos and email and phone.

so its a real inconvenience that I have to stop windows s and go to winows 10. if you want to add more value to your product it might…

  20. I am a Special Education teacher desperately seeking help with your Teams product.

I am a SpEd teacher desperately seeking help with your Teams product. Several weeks ago, it ran an "update" which froze my students out of the chat box. It has been sheer **** using this product ever since. This is literally one of the only ways some of my students can express their voices and you have taken that away from them. It was also a hugely successful motivational tool- they love those emojis & being able to practice their social skills with one another. Further, it was a way that I used to check for understanding. I cannot see…
