  1. Resolving issues over phone only after basic troubleshooting doesn't work is largely inaccessible for people who cannot talk on the phone

It's very frustrating as a person with a disability that prevents me from using the phone that resolving issues that are more complex than answered on the FAQs forums require scheduling a support call.

How is a person who cannot talk on the phone supposed to talk on the phone?

  2. make the dictation tool more accessible

When i use the dictation tool, there is no way I can switch it off and on using my voice. I can activate it, but once the bar is up there its not very user friendly. new paragraph

for example, I cannot correct my work or use any useful commands as you can see above.

Please could you make this tool as diverse as windows speech recognition? Wsr cannot be used in every situation and on every site. I'm having to use the dictation tool to do this, and it's very hard work! There needs to be more work on…

  4. Include number of unread message count in Outlook in dialogue accessible from Control + y.

When in Outlook, it is possible to quickly move between folders using the keyboard shortcut: control + y. HOwever, the number of unread messages in each folder is not exposed to screen readers such as Jaws, NVDA and Narrator. Jaws has a scripted solution to this, but it would be universally accessible if this number was provided through UIA or another method. Please up voat.

  5. Hello there, HoloLens 2 support. I have idea for improvement for people with visual impairment, which is including your product HoloLense 2!

    Hello there, HoloLens 2 support.
I have idea for improvement for people with visual impairment, which is including your product HoloLense 2!
My idea was, that after adding high resolution camera above the HoloLense 2, the picture from this camera would than be streamed live in to the device, for people with visual impairment to have option, to zoom in or out as they need in order to provide better vision for them.

Please let me know, what do you think about this idea?

  6. Get accessibility checker to warn about links that don't have descriptive text

It would be great if the accessibility checker warned about links that have been inserted as the URL address (https://blah.com/etc/etc/etc.com) instead of being replaced by descriptive text.

  7. Idea for Xbox Adaptive controller

Hello everyone , my name is Luis , I am cerebral palsy disabled. As a consequence of this I´m not playing confortable with the common pad. I know about Xbox adaptive controller but in my case I think that I have an idea better for people like me . Let me tell you my idea:

My main problem is use the buttons and controllers in horizontal , like a common pad, because you have to press the buttons fast , and that is a huge problem because i can´t move my hand and my fingers fast in this position, so…

  8. Get accessibility checker to warn about text that has been formatted with manually created styles

Is it possible to make the accessibility checker warn users when they create new styles to format text, instead of using (or modifying) the built in word styles?
    - as manually created styles, eg. headings, can't be recognised by screen readers.

  9. Want drag-and-drop feature for MouseKeys

I use the MouseKeys feature A LOT. but when I press the 5 (fire key) and along with an arrow key, it does not perform any drag and drop functionality.

I pray to MS corporation to add the feature to use drag and drop functionality within Keyboard's MouseKeys feature.

  10. Fix Narrator!

My narrator often skips over the letter combinations of "fi" and "fl". For example, instead of saying confirm, it will say "conrm". This is really frustrating! Please fix!

  12. Allow thicker frame borders on windows

The high contrast mode is the only way to enable thicker frame borders for windows to improve the poor differentiation between applications in Windows 10.
Unfortunately the high contrast mode is so invasive in its changes. It makes windows 10 less useable, not more.
Please add a checkbox list in the high contrast dialog so users can turn on only the features that they need.
This would allow the enabling of just the thicker borders, which is the only feature I need.

  13. Bitlocker screen gives no indication that the eyesight impaired can use

My customer has many eyesight impaired users, but they also use Bitlocker with PIN on startup. The Bitlocker screen doesn't give these users any indication that they are on the Bitlocker screen and need to enter their pin.
The screen times out after a short while, so the user never knows where they are in the process if they forget to count after pressing the power button or the machine doesn't respond in the expected way.

  14. Tech support service

I would recommend the TECH support individual JPHN B (who answered my most recent support call )!!! He listened to ALL my concerns, past efforts, and needs, then set up an Outlook version for me to access previous information. A fast, efficient and successful job very well done!!!

  15. Needed feature: text masking/scrolling (for stroke/reading difficulties)

This would be helpful in Windows (all applications), or an App for iOS. I work with veterans who frequently have print disabilities due to stroke (hemianopsia or neglect). This makes reading in a crowded environment difficult. It would be helpful if there was a way to mask text so only one line appears at a time, with the option for text scrolling (like a TV ticker) to move text into their "reading view" without having to move their eyes. (This saccadic movement causes people to lose their place and not be able to retain what they have read).

  16. Improve high-contrast support in Chromium-based Microsoft Edge

I see that in v81.0.366.0 of Chromium Edge the high-contrast mode support is enabled by default. There are a few bugs in it, which I would like to report:

    1. The icon with the 3 vertical dots for the "Actions Menu" button for each video (e.g. on the YouTube home page) is missing, making the button practically invisible when using a high-contrast black theme. This is not the case with the old/legacy/EdgeHTML Microsoft Edge.

    2. The icons for buttons such as "Like", "Dislike", "Share", "Save", etc. (located under a playing video) are missing, making the buttons practically invisible when using a high-contrast…

  17. I think the accessibility features would be an amazing tool to be able to use for those of us with vision loss and deafness.

However, I for one refuse to use anything in Ease of Access because for reasons unknown to me, once you turn those features on, it restricts your ability to customize your laptop via background colors, themes, etc. I tried Ease of Access long ago, and when I found what happened, I immediately turned off all features, but my laptop seemed ruined permanently just for using the accessibility features no matter how hard I worked to try and customize my laptop again. So, that's my idea I'm presenting to you. I know I cannot be the only one that would love…

  18. Optional switch between the ribbon and "old" drop down menus and toolbars

Each time I use Word and Excel, I long for the demise of the "ribbon" and the return of plain, normal drop down menus and customisable tool bars. These were far more accessible, and still the norm in many none Microsoft applications.

Please replace the ribbon in all Office applications with traditional drop down menus and icons, or make it option. I use a specialist trackerball, often with difficulty due to hand and arm coordination difficulties, so ask Microsoft to make this change.

  20. Discounts for LinkedIn Membership with Individuals Unable to Work Due to Disabilities

I like to use LinkedIn to stay connected to people, but I am now on Permanent Long Term Disability due to my condition of Refractory Epilepsy with partial Retrograde and a form of Anterograde Amnesia. This prevents me from working and I began collecting social security when I was in my 30s. The price to pay for LinkedIn Premium membership is now too high due to my limited budget, especially because I cannot work and have high medication costs. Would you ever consider creating a premium membership for individuals in my condition where there would be greater access, but at…
